I got 15. “vacillate” was definitely one of my wrong ones as I had no idea.
Unimpressed with the test though (pedant as I am
) e.g. they say “fallacy (noun): a primitive poem, barren field, good omen or mistaken idea”. Fallacy surely is something that is not true so whilst it could feasibly be used in connection with a mistaken idea its actual meaning is not listed…. Bloody Americans!

Nia, Unfortunately (using the definative online dictionary – dictionary.com) you will see that (if you look here) that one of the definitions of “fallacy” is “false notion”. Further referencing notion you will see that a synomym of “notion” is “idea” which means that we could say “mistaken idea” was a definition of “fallacy”. This isn’t too far from “false idea” is it?
